The
project “Advanced Sales-Support and Consumer-Behaviour Analysis System”
included the development of an original information system to support
selling procedures. Its purpose was to support salesmen when guiding
the customer, in order for the latter to make the best buy in terms of
characteristics and price.
More
specifically, the system analyses customer behaviour data to exhibit
standardised behaviours and relate with needs. Resulting behaviour
models can be utilised for the appropriate products (or services) to be
proposed and cover customer needs in a better way. In other words, the system
enables a complicated search into the desired characteristics of a
product, according to customer needs, and produces all the products
bearing these characteristics.
